Aaron Paul is an Emmy Award-winning actor best known for his role in the hit AMC series Breaking Bad, and one-half of the duo behind Dos Hombres Mezcal. Dos Hombres was born out of genuine love and appreciation for Mezcal and the obscure spirit’s complex character, with Aaron falling for the spirit first. As “the spirit behind the spirit,” Aaron introduced the category to Bryan Cranston, his longtime friend and co-star, and suggested traveling to
Oaxaca to learn, taste, and discover as much as possible about Mezcal. When Aaron first had the idea to enter the spirits business, he pointed out to Bryan that “all tequila is Mezcal, but not all Mezcal is tequila,” highlighting the special nature of the spirit. After extensively traveling throughout Oaxaca with the objective of finding a Mezcal they were both
passionate about, the longtime friends and co-stars founded Dos Hombres in 2019, seizing the opportunity to share Mezcal with a larger audience. The company produces artisanal mezcal which is distilled in small batches with traditional methods. It is produced in San Luis del Río in Oaxaca, Mexico and production is led by Gregorio Velasco.
