Prior to joining DISCUS, Courtney practiced antitrust law at the international law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. At Wilson Sonsini, she represented clients in competition matters, including complex litigation, merger advocacy, product innovation and business counseling, and both domestic and foreign government investigations. These matters involved representation before federal courts, the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission, and other state and foreign authorities. Courtney also served as a Competition Counsel Secondee to Google, Inc., in New York City where she managed investigations and provided counseling on product innovations and business plans, both domestic and foreign. Prior to working at Wilson Sonsini, Courtney worked in government relations for DISCUS and for U.S. Senator Robert Bennett.
Courtney earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Northwestern School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in Political Studies and Spanish from Westminster College. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Dale A. Kimball, U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.
